Qualification
PhD in relevant field with at least 2 years of post-degree experience in battery industries, or MS degree in relevant field with at least 5 years of post-degree experience in battery industries, or BS degree in relevant field with at least 7 years of post-degree experience in battery industries.
Prefer to have someone who has Intellectual properties (IP) and ability to generate IP.
Experience in lithium-ion battery materials and its process, especially in electrolytes and lithium metal anode is preferred.
Having an ownership mindset and executing powers to solve technical challenges/issues with fundamental and feasible approaches.
Small to mid-size research team management experience with technical leadership.
Problem-solving attitude in the fast phase start-up company.
Roles and Responsibilities
Plan and execute lithium metal battery design/test/interpretation of the results to understand the best feasible cell chemistries and/or degradation mechanism.
Lead/generate intellectual properties or trade secrets to protect the company’s technological developments and secure a competitive position.
Lead/Manage relevant joint-development program timeline to ensure program deliveries are on time and under budget.
Perform other functions as required to ensure success of assigned projects and to support the R&D operation.
Proposal writing experience is a big plus.
