2018
Soelect, Inc is founded in Greensboro, North Carolina by Dr. Sung-Jin Cho (Jin Cho) with a dream for the next 20 years and beyond. That dream is to commercialize and manufacture battery products with our own proprietary products, reducing the United States’ dependence on China for battery materials.
2020
Soelect receives 2.3 million in seed funding from Venture South, AMB, and other investors. Our team was 15 members strong, including battery engineers, lab technicians, and other staff.
2022
Lotte Ventures, with GM Ventures and KTB Networks, invests $11 million in Series A funding to Soelect, Inc. Soelect moves from lab-scale to pilot-line of our LiX technology and Solid Electrolyte Membrane.
