Job Summary:
Soelect is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Mechatronics Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The Mechatronics Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge electromechanical systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing engineering, mathematics, and science skills while fostering creativity and problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or related.
• 7+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with robotics, automation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechatronic System Design:
• Lead the design and development of advanced mechatronic systems, including robots, automated manufacturing systems, and control systems.
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed blueprints and schematics for mechatronic components and systems.
• Ensure that designs meet safety standards, functionality requirements, and industry best practices.
Prototyping and Testing:
• Oversee the creation of mechatronic prototypes, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct rigorous testing of prototypes to verify compliance with safety and performance standards.
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and develop solutions to enhance system functionality.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
• Develop predictive maintenance models to optimize the performance and longevity of mechatronic systems.
• Lead efforts in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for mechatronic system failures, implementing timely solutions.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime.
Software Development:
• Develop and maintain software components for controlling mechatronic systems, incorporating programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, etc.
• Implement software updates and improvements to enhance system efficiency and adaptability.
• Ensure seamless communication between hardware and software components.
Project Management:
• Manage mechatronic projects from conceptualization through completion, including setting project goals, timelines, and budgets.
• Prepare comprehensive project plans, monitor progress, and address any deviations or challenges.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure project success.
Technical Documentation and Reporting:
• Prepare detailed technical specifications for mechatronic components and systems, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Generate comprehensive reports on project progress, test results, and system performance.
• Maintain thorough documentation of design changes and updates.
Training and Knowledge Sharing:
• Provide training to operators and maintenance staff on the proper use and maintenance of mechatronic systems.
• Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, promoting a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team.
Working Conditions:
The Mechatronics Engineer will work in a variety of settings, including office environments, factories, and research and development laboratories. Exposure to noise, dirt, and potentially hazardous materials may occur in factory and lab settings. The standard workweek consists of 40 hours, with the possibility of overtime to meet project deadlines.
