Job Summary:

We are actively looking for an exceptionally talented CNC Machine Operator to become a valued member of our Machine Operations team. This pivotal role is instrumental in guaranteeing the seamless and accurate functioning of our CNC machinery, thereby bolstering the creation of top-notch parts that strictly adhere to designated quality benchmarks. The position necessitates an in-depth grasp of CNC machine operation, adeptness in process adjustments, proficiency in part loading, and a masterful command of process execution techniques.

Responsibilities:
Machine Operations – Machine Startup and Shutdown
  • Safely start up and shut down CNC machines.
  • Disconnect energy sources when necessary.
  • Determine if the machine is operating abnormally.
  • Escalate abnormalities when required.
  • Apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures as needed.
Machine Operations – Part Loading
  • Load parts into work holding devices for operation.
  • Clamp and align parts accurately.
  • Determine clamping pressure.
  • Decide on part orientation within devices.
Machine Operations – Process Adjustments
  • Monitor and maintain part specifications during production.
  • Make adjustments to the machine as necessary.
  • Replace or index inserts and cutters.
  • Manage coolant levels.
  • Determine when adjustments are needed.
  • Decide what adjustments are required.
  • Determine when inserts or cutters need replacement.
Machine Operations – Process Execution
  • Execute turning applications to produce parts to specification.
  • Set work origins accurately.
  • Control the size and geometric characteristics of part features.
  • Determine roughing and finishing strategies.
  • Make speed and feed adjustments.
  • Select the appropriate spindle direction.
  • Set work origins correctly.
  • Account for backlash and machine wear.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Machine Operator.
  • Proficiency in CNC machine operation and programming.
  • Strong knowledge of reading drawings and process plans.
  • Ability to use Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and precision.
  • Strong decision-making abilities in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures is a plus.
Working Conditions:
  • The CNC Machine Operator may be required to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
