Soelect Receives 2024 DOD Army Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Grant Phase I for $250,000

In January 2024, Soelect was selected by the Department of Defense (DOD) to receive a grant for approximately $250,000. The objectives of the program are to ease barriers that small businesses face in understanding the Army’s technical challenges, identifying customers within complex Army ecosystems, and developing novel and relevant technology solutions to the Army.

The award will be used to develop and manufacture all solid-state lithium metal batteries for army applications. With this selection, the DOD expressed its interest in Soelect’s ground-breaking lithium battery technology that promises longer-lasting, more efficient, and safer energy storage options.
