Position
· R&D Manager / Research and Development Department
· FT Position: 40hrs per week / On-site M-F 8:25am – 5:10pm (Lunch 12:30pm-1:15pm) / Greensboro, NC.
· Clean Environment
· Salary Range: Salary range provided is negotiable and will be based on experience.
Qualification
· PhD in relevant field with at least 5 years of post-degree experience in battery industries. (start-up experience is a big plus)
· PhD with 5+ year experience in lithium-ion battery materials and its process, especially in electrolytes and lithium metal anode.
· Having a mindset and execution to solve technical challenges/issues with fundamental and feasible approaches.
· Small to mid-size research team management experience with technical leadership
· Problem-solving attitude in the fast phase start up company.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Plan and execute lithium metal battery design/test/interpretation of the results to understand the best feasible cell chemistries and/or degradation mechanism.
· Lead/generate intellectual properties or trade secrets to protect the company’s technological developments and secure a competitive position.
· Manage relevant joint-development program timeline to ensure program deliveries are on time and under budget.
· Perform other functions as required to ensure success of assigned projects and to support the R&D operation.
