Soelect employees engage with the community through local volunteering | On Friday, September 15th, 2023, Soelect kicked off its Charitable Activity Appreciation Program by sending 7 volunteer employees to a food pantry run by The Salvation Army at their Kernersville Worship & Service Center. Employees from various departments participated, promoting a sense of company unity.

CBI and Forsyth Technical Community College Sign an Affiliate Agreement | In celebration of Clean Energy Week, Soelect Inc. hosted an open house on September 26, 2023. During the commencement ceremony, Forsyth Technical Community College and Carolina Battery Institute solidified an affiliation agreement to boost Advanced Workforce Development in North Carolina.

On Tuesday, September 26th, Soelect hosted an open house and announcement event to celebrate National Clean Energy Week. The event featured two headlines: Soelect Pilot Line Kick-off Celebration and Carolina Battery Institute Inc. Launching Ceremony.

In September 2023, Soelect secured a $43,400 FY23 Customized Training grant from GTCC, prioritizing employee development and safety. This translates to a training budget of $2,071 per employee. Over three years, 21 employees will undergo diverse training encompassing safety, efficiency, and compliance, including certifications such as OSHA and office safety.

Soelect secured government subsidies in 2023 through the 'One North Carolina Small Business Program,' which aims to reduce costs for startups involved in innovative research and development.

Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), a partner of Soelect, secured a $3 million Department of Energy funding for their innovative battery manufacturing project, "Advancing Solid-State Battery Manufacturing Through Scalable Synthesis, Processing, and Analysis."

Matt Bailey is on the board of directors of Soelect Inc., a lithium battery component development company based out Greensboro that just raised a seed round through First Launch Capital Fund in Greensboro. The company formed in 2018, with Ph.D's SungJin Cho as founder and CEO and Jong Soo "Jake" Cho as vice president of research and development.
